Silent Night

When I think Christmas, I think about:

- Friends and family
- Giving and recieving
- Being happy at home by the heater (we don’t have a fireplace. )
- Decorating the tree and the house
- Christmas Eve, and all the wonderful things that make you happy

Christmas is very important to my family. Christmas brings my family closer together. This is the time where my family gets time to spend going outside and playing in the snow, going skidooing, ice fishing and being outdoors. My family really enjoys Christmas and we take hours decorating the tree, wrapping presents and being together. On Christmas Eve we make hot chocolate and sit around the Christmas tree and watch some Christmas movie on television. I cannot wait fo this years Christmas. Everyone is so excited and school is almost out, we get out on the 19th of December. This year’s Christmas will be great, and after I get to go to my dad’s and have another Christmas. We also go to my nana’s in Ste. Rose du Lac to celebrate another Christmas.

What do you do for Christmas? Are you counting down the days? I cannot wait.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Snow, you either love it or you hate it.

Here there is a lot of snow for it being only the beginning of December. The lake is frozen and people are out there skidooing, having lots of fun. At my dad’s I have 2 skidoo’s and I cannot wait to go there after Christmas. I love the snow but it is just too cold. Today it is about -25°C outside, brrr.
I think that snow is really pretty, the way it sparkles and gleams. I really think that it is cool that each snow flake is different. The winters here in Canada are long and cold. From about the ending of November to the end of February.
Skidooing is something that lots of people in our town do because it is something to do when it is a bit warmer outside. Every year they have a Poker Derby and it is really fun to watch all of the skidoo’ers race down the ice.
On the lake we go ice fishing, sometimes. I like to go ice fishing, but I usually don’t catch anything. Ice fishing is something that my family does to spend some family time together and I have a lot of fun doing it. When we go on skidooing trips we go skidooing until we are freezing and then we go to the ice fishing shack to warm up and then we go home. Sometimes when I am at my dad’s we go out to the fields and go skidooing, it is really fun. This year we are going to my nana’s and my papa’s after Christmas and we are going skidooing in papa’s fields. It is going to be really fun.
