Japan’s new cellphone

I just read about a cellphone that can turn on your car and unlock/lock your car. I think that this is good in one way, but bad in another. The good thing about it is that it will defiantly save space. With this technology we will be able to have a single gadget, that does more things for you. I also think that this has a bad part to it to though.

The bad thing about this cellphone is if you ever lose it, someone can find the phone and unlock your car and steal it. That can be very dangerous and it can lead to robberies.

I think that this is a cool idea but there should be some way to prevent random people from stealing your cellphone and starting your car.

Can we be any more creative?

I read a blog called Dvice and they wrote a post about a pink high heel phone. This phone is really cool, but I have to argue with one thing. Some girls hate shoes and hate the colour pink. I find it is cool, but if there were a variety of different colours to chose from, it would be better.

I think that we as humans are really getting creative with our technology. We are using our technology to make things look a certain way, like a shoe phone for example. I think that we are using these ideas to get farther with our imaginations and these are how we make new ideas.

Copyright: What is it?

Copyright is a license that is used on anything that someone has made. For example: movies, pictures, books, drawings, etc, can be copyrighted. The creator of the artwork can let others se part of it and they can charge you for the amount they want. Copyright prevents people from stealing other people’s ideas and using them as their own.

Why is it important?

Copyright is important to the creators of the work because this helps their work be shown to the world and they know that people are not stealing it and using it as their own. If people take the creators work and use it to make money, which is illegal. If they want to use part of the creators work for something that they are not making any money whatsoever, they must have the permission of the creator. The creator has the right to charge for their work, if they please.

Let’s pretend that I wrote a story and some movie director wanted to make it into a movie. Because it is mine, the profits that the director makes of the movie, can be mine too. Because of copyright I can have some of the profits; I can charge him for the use of my story.

If there were no copyright laws the work that the creators have made can be used to make money without the creators getting what they deserve. Take a look at this video to learn more about copyright laws.

What is Public Domain?

Public Domain is when the copyright runs out on a creators work. After this happens anyone can take this work, use it as many times as they want and remix it if they please. They are free to use it without having to ask permission. Now, copyright lasts the author’s lifetime plus 70 years after that. It will take a long time for public domain to kick in.

What is Fair Use?

Fair Use is the creator of the work letting you use a small amount of the work and possibly the creator asking for money. Fair Use should let you have more work but that’s the law.

Brianna is my name. I am thirteen and enjoy living in this small town. Summer vacation was pretty sweet but as soon as summer came, it was over just as fast. My best friend is Alysa and you probably haven’t ever seen us apart since she moved here. We went dirtbiking and quading this summer and we are planning to go skiddooing this winter. I am really excited for this winter. Yesterday school started, it ruined everything!
